ECOLOGICAL AND GENETIC-ANALYSIS OF CENTRA L ELEMENTS VARIATION IN LEPTINOTARSA-DECEMLINEATA (COLEOPTERA) FOREBACK PATTERN

Variation of the foreback pattern in Colorado beetle (Leptinotarsa dec emlineata Say) was analyzed in an experiment with regard to the parent phenotype, temperature of development and sex of posterity. The data of the 4-factored statistic analysis show a complex ecologo-genenic de termination of the pattern elements. Statistical ly significant additi ve effects of paternal phenotypes have been revealed, the contribution of the maternal phenotype being greater. Temperature of development i nfluences the display of the pattern elements to a large measure. Inte raction of the factors temperature-sex is significant.
