Abstract
Using the new P(O)Bu-t(2) Directed Metalation Group, a variety of orth o-substituted aryl di-t-butylphenylphosphine oxides (2a-k) have been p repared, its relative metalation ability has been established, and red uction and homocoupling products (Scheme 4) have been obtained.
