Abstract
Recent studies have shown that global radiative and hydrological fluxe s are strongly linked to microphysical processes in clouds. The sensit ivity or predictions of climate variations to assumptions about the mi crophysical processes has led to new approaches to atmospheric measure ments and to heightened interest and progress in understanding the phy sical chemistry, radiative properties, and kinetics of small solid and liquid aqueous particles.
