Abstract
Kirkwood-Buff parameters for some toluene containing binary mixtures h ave been calculated with the help of thermodynamic quantities like par tial molar volume, isothermal compressibility, etc,These parameters ar e used to show that spatial correlations of like molecules are preferr ed over correlations of unlike molecules and vice-versa in the mixture s. The results are compared with the help of partial structure factors determined primarily by the non-zero interaction between the componen ts in the mixture and found to be satisfactory. Partial molar volumes and isothermal compressibilities have been calculated from the hard sp here mixture theory.
