Abstract
Reaction of [{Ru(eta(6)-C6Me6)Cl-2}(2)] With 1,4-dicyano trans-2-buten e gives a binuclear complex [{Ru(eta(6)-C6Me6)Cl-2}(2) (mu-DCBT)] whic h undergoes metathetical reactions with EPh3 (E = P, As, Sb) and NN do nor bases, viz., 2,2'-bipyridine and I,10'-phenanthroline. The resulti ng products have been characterised by elemental analyses, IR. UV-Vis H-1 and C-13 NMR spectroscopy.
