The present work describes the one-pot synthesis of new polyazamacrocy
clic compounds 4-7 having hydrophobic hosts cavities (beta-cyclodextri
ns) attached to a metal chelating aza-macrocycle by ureido spacer arms
. A coupling average of 30% was obtained, proving the efficiency of th
e ''phosphinimine'' method for a rapid access to new supramolecular de
vices. The subsequent complexation of 6 with EuCl3 give the stable com
plex 8. Preliminary results on fluorescence properties are reported. (
