Y. Yamaguchi et al., PARAMAGNETIC SCATTERING OF NEUTRONS FROM AN ITINERANT-ELECTRON ANTIFERROMAGNET MN3SI, Physica. B, Condensed matter, 213, 1995, pp. 363-365
Magnetic neutron scattering is measured from the itinerant electron an
tiferromagnet Mn3Si in the paramagnetic state. The scattering is descr
ibed by a Gaussian function in reciprocal lattice space and a Lorentzi
an function for the energy dependence. This combination is similar to
that of BCC Cr instead of the double Lorentzian form of ordinary magne
ts. Spatial correlations at an energy transfer for 5 meV are observed
to be 27 Angstrom at 1.7T(N) and 18 Angstrom at 8.7T(N). The temperatu
re dependence of the relaxation parameter Gamma is described by (T - T
-N)(0.5) up to 8.7T(N).
