Abstract
A new phase (Sr0.86Nd0.14)(3)Cu2O5 is found to be intergrown with the infinite-layer (IL) superconducting compound (Sr, Nd)CuO2 prepared und er high pressure, with the annealing temperature lower than usual. It belongs to the homologous series of (Sr, Nd)(n+1)CunO2n+1 (n = 1, 2, 3 ,...). The crystal structure has been determined by high resolution el ectron microscopy (HREM). The structure relationship between this phas e and the IL phase is discussed.
