Abstract
A high-brightness RF electron gun for 10-cm wavelength range linear ac celerators is described. For a pulsed output beam current of 1.5 A, th e electron energy is 700 keV and the normalized rms emittance does not exceed 20 pi mm rad. The results of calculations, design analysis, an d testing are presented.
