Abstract
We compare male and female delegates to the Virginia GOP nominating co nventions in 1993 and 1994. We find that gender differences in motivat ions, policy preferences, and candidate choice are subtle and that som e exist for all GOP activists while others exist in only the Christian Right or moderate faction.
