Abstract
A small-sized generator contains a 30-Omega coaxial forming line, whic h is charged by a Tesla transformer with a high coupling coefficient i n the line and a high-voltage gas (N-2) spark gap switch with gas blow -through between the electrodes. The maximum charging voltage of the f orming line is 450 kV, the duration of the formed pulses is similar to 4 ns, and the pulse amplitude at the matched load reaches similar to 200 kV.
