Vs. Burakov et al., INTRACAVITY POLARIZATION SPECTROMETER FOR THE DETERMINATION OF TRACE CONCENTRATIONS OF BIOMOLECULES IN TRANSPARENT LIQUIDS, Instruments and experimental techniques, 40(1), 1997, pp. 122-125
An intracavity polarization spectrometer based on an argon laser with
competing beams, which emits narrow lines in a spectral range from 275
to 529 nm, is designed to raise the sensitivity of the analysis of li
quid-phase absorbents with broad absorption bands (primarily, biomolec
ules). The limit of detecting the concentration of absorbing centers i
s reduced to 10(-5) optical density units with an accuracy of measurin
g trace concentration of at least 20%. A wide dynamic range of analysi
s is ensured. The spectrometer is exposed to evaluation tests to deter
mine trace concentrations of aminoacids in methanol.
