Abstract
A combination least-squares and band contour analysis of the 2(0)(1) a nd 2(0)(2) bands of the laser-induced phosphorescence spectrum of the (a) over tilde(3)B(1) <-- (X) over tilde(1) A(1) band system silicon d ifluoride, SiF2, has been completed. Spectra were taken under pyrolysi s-jet conditions at a resolution of ca 0.04 cm(-1). The rotational (A, B, C), centrifugal distortion (Delta(k)), spin-rotation (a, a(0)), an d spin-spin (alpha, beta) constants for the upper v(2) state are repor ted. An effective r(0) structure has been calculated for each upper vi bronic state. Some minor intensity anomalies have been observed in the spectra of both bands. (C) 1998 Academic Press.
