A method is proposed for estimating the parameters used in the deconvo
lution technique. The proposed method is based on the use of the Fouri
er transform modulus of the spectrum being treated with the purpose of
obtaining information about the characteristics of the spectral bands
and random measurement errors. Formulas are given that permit estimat
ion of the values of noise variance in the experimental spectrum, the
low-pass filter passband, and the contour half-width of the high-pass
filter. Results are considered for the application of the proposed for
mulas for determining the parameters used with the deconvolution of sy
nthetic and experimental spectra. It has been concluded that practical
use of the proposed method of a priori estimation of the parameters p
ermits, to a certain extent, the optimization of the process of deconv
olution of spectral curves.
