When liquid He-4 is condensed in porous aerogel glass (typical pore si
ze approximate to 5000 Angstrom), many of the superfluid properties ar
e significantly altered. Measurements have been made of the dynamic st
ructure factor S(Q, omega) of liquid He-4 in restricted geometries. Th
e collective phonon-roton excitations are shown to have an intrinsic b
roadening associated with the restricted geometry. The temperature dep
endence of the excitation spectrum is discussed.
