Abstract
We present a class of solutions to an equation which arises in general relativity. This equation determines the behaviour of the gravitation al field of a static charged fluid sphere and governs the geometry of a (D - 1)-spheroid in D-dimensional spacetime. Our class of solutions extends particular solutions which have recently been presented in the literature. In addition we generate a class of solutions to a general isation of the original differential equation.
