Abstract
Scandium triflate (CF3SO3-)-catalyzed Strecker-type reactions were suc cessfully carried out by simply mixing aldehydes, amines and tributylt in cyanide at room temperature, to afford cr-amino nitriles in high yi elds. The reactions proceeded smoothly in both organic and aqueous sol utions, and complete recovery of the tin materials has been achieved.
