C. Sekar et K. Balaraman, OPTIMIZATION STUDIES ON THE PRODUCTION OF CYCLOSPORINE-A BY SOLID-STATE FERMENTATION, Bioprocess engineering, 18(4), 1998, pp. 293-296
Several parameters including (a) tray fermentation with and without pe
rforation (b) thickness of solid substrate bed (c) type of inoculum (d
) size of inoculum (e) effect of relative humidity were studied for th
e optimum production of Cyclosporin A by solid state fermentation usin
g Tolypocladium sp. The results indicate that while perforations in th
e trays had no significance on the yield of Cyc A, the other parameter
s had an influence on the production of Cyc A. The results indicate th
at under the optimized conditions, Cyc A can be produced in bulk quant
ities economically.
