Abstract
Cross section for (n,p) (n,alpha) and (n,2n) reactions have been measu red on some rare-earth isotopes at 14.7 +/- 0.2 MeV using the activati on technique. Data are reported for the following reactions: Ce-140(n, p) La-140, Eu-153(n,p) Sm-153, Tb-159(n,p) Gd-159, Yb-172(n,p) Tm-172, Yb-173(n,p) Tm-173, Eu-151(n,alpha) Pm-148m, Yb-174(n,alpha) Er-171, Ce-136(n,2n) Ce-135, Ce-138(n,2n) Ce-137m, Ce-140(n,2n) Ce-139, Ce-142 (n,2n) Ce-141, Dy-156(n,2n) Dy-155, Dy-158(n,2n) Dy-157, Tm-169(n,2n) Tm-168, Yb-170(n,2n) Yb-169, Yb-176(n,2n) Yb-175 and Hf-176(n,2n) Hf-1 75.
