With the final goal of developing lithium ion batteries having a plast
ic configuration, we have prepared and characterized highly conducting
polymer electrolytes, as well as graphite anode and chromium-stabiliz
ed manganese spinel film electrodes. Laboratory prototypes of lithium
ion batteries formed by the direct lamination of these electrode and e
lectrolyte components were assembled and tested. The preliminary resul
