Change in the quadrupole splitting of Eu-151 nucleus in the Mossbauer
spectra of an EuBa2Cu3O7-x thick film at 105 K has been observed when
an AC electric current passes the thick film. it has been found that t
he quadrupole splitting of Eu-151 nucleus increases with increasing th
e frequency of the electric current passing the thick film and that th
e relationship between the quadrupole splitting of Eu nucleus in the s
uperconducting thick film and temperature before the superconducting t
ransition can also obey the formula presented by Heubes and Christians
en. This phenomenon may be attributed to the hysteresis loss of the al
ternating current passing the superconducting regions in the EuBa2Cu3O
