Abstract
The INS spectra of the powder and oriented single crystals of PbHPO4 a re compared to the infrared and Raman spectra. A detailed band assignm ent scheme is proposed. There is no evidence for proton tunnelling. Th e proton dynamics appear very weakly coupled to the heavy atom dynamic s.
