Abstract
This paper describes vibration detection by an optical interferometer based on self-diffraction of photorefractive two-wave mixing with a Cu doped KNSBN crystal and a HeNe laser at 632.8 nm. The sensitivity of this interferometer depends on the polarization direction of the incid ent beams. The polarization direction effect is studied theoretically and experimentally. The experimental results agree well with the theor etical results. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V.
