A field study was conducted in Poland to test the effectiveness of the
Medication Management Module on schizophrenic patients' Knowledge and
skill acquisition as compared with educational classes and a control
group with no education at an. In a sample of 97 schizophrenic patient
s, participation in the Medication Management Module produced greater
acquisition of Knowledge about pharmacotherapy and medication manageme
nt skills than participation in a less structured educational class. B
oth experimental conditions brought about more knowledge than a contro
l group with no education at all.
