Abstract
The solution structures of nine pyrophthalone-type substances are dete rmined by N-14/N-15-NMR-spectroscopy. Mostly depending on the conditio ns (solvent, solubility, chemical nature of the compound), both isotop es can be used complementary to obtain reliable data. Additionally, fo r some compounds N-15 solid State NMR data are available and demonstra te the structural identity in solution and the solid state.
