Abstract
A 5-year-old girl had hypotony, myopia, and anterior displacement of t he lens-iris diaphragm following routine strabismus surgery. This cons tellation of findings suggests that surgical manipulation of the intac t sclera produced a limited effusion involving the supraciliary space. Following cycloplegia, these findings resolved over several weeks, su ggesting that this rare complication is self-limited and associated wi th a good prognosis for recovery.
