Abstract
The paper presents approximate analytical solutions for reflection and transmission coefficients of general uniaxial bianisotropic media sla bs. The analysis is based on generalised second-order impedance bounda ry conditions (GIBC) simulating bianisotropic slabs. The GIBC are obta ined using the averaging procedure. Layers much thinner than the wavel ength are considered. The results are tested by comparing the approxim ate reflection coefficients from an uniaxial bianisotropic layer with the exact solution.
