Abstract
Structures of alpha,omega-dihydroxy polyethers and copolyethers were i nvestigated extensively using H-1 and C-13 NMR spectroscopy and mass s pectrometry (electrospray ionization technique). The H-1 NMR study was achieved from samples of which the hydroxy end groups were modified w ith trifluoroacetic anhydride. In particular, the nature of end groups (primary or secondary hydroxy end group), the accurate chemical struc ture and the molar mass of copolyethers were determined.
