Abstract
Severe abrasion of implantable cardioverter-defibrillator leads is fre quently found during abdominal generator replacement and occasionally results in lead system failure. Careful inspection of leads at the tim e of generator replacement will identify such abrasions, and, in some cases, lead repair or replacement may be indicated.
