Abstract
The avian retroviruses E26 and AMV carry mutated versions of the gene encoding the cellular transcription factor c-Myb. Surprisingly, these two mutant forms of Myb differ in the subsets of myeloid cells that th ey transform, the target genes that they activate, and the way in whic h they are regulated.
