In this paper we present a study of the dynamical behavior of the wate
r of hydration on myoglobin, performed by means of incoherent quasi-el
astic neutron scattering. For the hydration level investigated: from h
=0.25 to h=1.1, we were able to extract the Q dependence of the HWHM a
nd of the EISF for the water fraction present in the system. The obtai
ned figures suggest that water is organized in pools, of about 10 A si
ze, with reduced mobility. A comparison with the behavior of bulk wate
r is also presented.
