RAPID ENVIRONMENTAL-ANALYSIS USING PORTABLE CHROMATOGRAPHS

Rapid procedures were developed for determining a number of environmen tal pollutants (organochlorine pesticides, chlorophenols, aldehydes, a nd ketones) with the use of an Ekho-P domestic portable gas chromatogr aph and a Minikhrom liquid chromatograph. The time taken to analyze a complex mixture using Ekho-P was only 20-90 a. The sampling and sample preparation time was 15-20 min. Thus, pollutants can be determined at a level of maximum permissible concentrations or below under field co nditions.
