Abstract
A consistent theoretical interpretation of experimental results on a q uantum dot embedded in an Aharanov-Bohm ring in the Coulomb blockade r egime is possible under the assumption that all resonances seen behave similarly. Deformation of the quantum dot under the influence of the plunger gate voltage is offered as a possible cause for this similarit y.
