Abstract
Most of the data on the anabolic effect of PTH have been obtained with hPTH(1-34). Studies have shown a marked increment in spinal bone mass . Most recently we have shown that PTH and estrogen can be given toget her where there is increased total bone mineral and no loss of bone at any skeletal site. We have also shown the first reduction in vertebra l deformity incidence due to PTH treatment.
