P. Boccaccio et al., TIME-SCALE AND EXCITATION-ENERGY PARTITION IN SEQUENTIAL BINARY DECAYS INDUCED BY HEAVY-ION COLLISIONS AT SIMILAR-OR-EQUAL-TO-6MEV-A, EUROPEAN PHYSICAL JOURNAL A-HADRONS AND NUCLEI, 1(4), 1998, pp. 399-406
We studied the sequential binary decay of the systems S-32+Sc-45, Ge-7
6, Y-89, Co-59, Cu-63 and F-19+Cu-63 induced by collisions at similar
or equal to 6 MeV.A. The two stages of the process have reaction-times
compatible with the dynamics of different mechanisms. The study of th
e excitation energy partition shows that the reaction mechanism of the
first step has influence on the de-excitation of the primary fragment
s producing two decay components which have different time scale.
