R. Moini et al., EVALUATION OF LEMP EFFECTS ON COMPLEX WIRE STRUCTURES LOCATED ABOVE APERFECTLY CONDUCTING GROUND USING ELECTRIC-FIELD INTEGRAL-EQUATION INTIME-DOMAIN, IEEE transactions on electromagnetic compatibility, 40(2), 1998, pp. 154-162
In this paper, a novel approach for the implementation of scattering t
heory is proposed in order to evaluate the electromagnetic effects of
lightning return stroke on complex wire structures. An electric held i
ntegral equation (EFIF) in time domain is employed to describe the ele
ctromagnetic transients from lightning. The proposed approach is appli
ed to single-phase three-phase as well as Y-shaped transmission line l
ocated above a perfectly conducting ground. The simulation results rep
roduce accurately experimental data available in the literature. The p
roposed method provides new possibilities in estimation of lightning i
ndirect effects on complex networks as an example ''radial transmissio
n systems tapped from main switching substations'' are investigated.
