A. Elshemi et As. Hassan, EJECTION PROBABILITIES OF ELECTRONS AS RESULT OF REORGANIZATION EFFECTS OF INNER-SHELL IONIZED ATOMS, JPN J A P 1, 36(6A), 1997, pp. 3726-3729
Ion-charge state distributions during vacancy cascades following K- an
d L-I-shell ionization are calculated using a Monte Carlo simulation.
The probability P(n) that n electrons are ejected after primary ioniza
tion is given as a function of atomic number in the region Z = 7 to Z
= 60. The calculations are accomplished by tracing successive radiativ
e and non-radiative transitions and the electron shake off process as
an additional effect. Radiative and non-radiative transition rates hav
e been calculated as relativistic wave functions.
