Km. Reed et al., CHARACTERISTICS OF 2 SALMONID REPETITIVE DNA FAMILIES IN RAINBOW-TROUT, ONCORHYNCHUS-MYKISS, Cytogenetics and cell genetics, 79(3-4), 1997, pp. 184-187
DNA sequence and genomic location of two repetitive DNA families in ra
inbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) were investigated to develop molecul
ar markers for chromosome identification. DNA fragments with sequences
similar to the tandem and interspersed elements described in other sa
lmonids were isolated. One clone showed differential hybridization to
12 pairs of chromosomes and should be a useful marker for physical map
ping.
