Abstract
Infection and implantable cardioverter-defibrillator shocks are import ant contributing factors to discontinuation of cardioverter-defibrilla tor therapy in non-terminally ill patients. These patients are at a hi gh risk of sudden cardiac death despite continued antiarrhythmic drug therapy.
