Abstract
Left ventricular systolic function was evaluated by echo-Doppler in 22 Down syndrome patients without congenital heart disease. Although the y had evident left ventricular hyperkinesia, this did not appear to re flect intrinsic abnormalities of myocardial properties but a reduced a fterload.
