Abstract
We obtained the energy-dependent ion yields of two-photon-resonant and three-photon-ionization processes in the dense ytterbium atomic gases . This dependence could be analyzed by using the rate equation in the low incident light energy region. However, by increasing the light ene rgy, we obtained the complex dependence of ion yields on the radiation energy and we discuss their origin.
