Abstract
Cancer chemotherapy is known to lead to nausea and vomiting in a large proportion of cases. If emesis is severe it can lead in its turn to a nticipatory nausea and vomiting (ANV), which cannot be controlled by a ntiemetic medication. The etiology of ANV and various methods that hav e been used to counteract the condition are discussed.
