Abstract
The first co-ordination compounds with gold-germanium bonds of the gen eral formula (Ph(3)P)(n)AuGeCl3 (n = 1-3) have been synthesized in hig h yields by the insertion of GeCl2 (from its 1,4-dioxane complex) into the corresponding AuCl complexes, and structurally characterized.
