Abstract
A Monte Carlo simulation is performed to analyze the energy and angula r distribution of electrons emitted from a carbon surface under grazin g incidence of 10-300 keV protons. The calculated energy distribution has a high-energy tail which does not appear in the case of normal inc idence, as well as a large low-energy peak. The angular distribution d eviates from the well-known cosine dependence on tile emission angle m easured from the surface normal.
