Aim. Study of efficiency of inhalation glucocorticosteroid aldecine. M
aterials and Methods. A 4-week trial of 30 patients with bronchial ast
hma. Treatment results were evaluated by clinical symptoms, demand of
inhalation sympathomimetics, external respiration, viscosity and elast
icity of bronchial secretion, concentrations of hydrocortisone and thy
roid hormones. Results. Aldecine produced a good clinical effect, impr
oved external respiration, allowed to reduce doses of inhalation beta-
adrenomimetics. No deterioration of either bronchial secretion rheolog
y or inhibition of adrenal and thyroid function was seen. Candidiasis
was clinically negligible. Conclusion. Aldecine proved highly effectiv
e and tolerable in patients with bronchial asthma.
