Some fragments of bombesin were used in our slice experiments to deter
mine their action on temperature dependence of neuronal firing rate in
the preoptic area and anterior hypothalamus. The results show the exi
stence of bombesin molecule fragment (Glp-Gln-Arg-OMe) which may be re
sponsible for the bombesin-induced increase in warm sensitivity of war
m-activated neurons.
