VIRIAL-THEOREM, FEYNMAN-HELLMANN THEOREM, AND VARIATIONAL METHOD

We show that not only stationary states but also variationally determi ned states satisfy the Feynman-Hellmann theorem as well as the virial theorem. We derive a generalized form of the virial theorem and discus s the applications of those relations.
