Abstract
A fiber radio link based on direct optical injection subharmonic locki ng of a GaAs MIMIC oscillator at 10.6 GHz is experimentally demonstrat ed. Microwave output power of 7.6 dBm is reported. The oscillator can be locked rising rip to the 32nd subharmonic over a 200 kHz locking ra nge. The achieved linewidth allowed transmission of a signal modulated down to 500 Hz through the link.
