C. Yalcin et al., GENERAL-ANALYSIS OF THE POLARIZATION EFFECTS IN N-]D+P PROCESSES(N), Journal of physics. G, Nuclear and particle physics, 24(5), 1998, pp. 1003-1012
We establish the spin structure of matrix elements for N + N --> d + P
processes, where P is a pi- or eta-meson, in terms of six scalar ampl
itudes. Isospin invariance of a strong interaction results in definite
symmetry properties of these amplitudes relative to the change cos th
eta --> -cos theta; where theta is the P-meson production angle. We pa
rametrize all possible polarization observables in n + p --> d + P usi
ng a formalism of structure functions and calculate these structure fu
nctions in terms of scalar amplitude. This allows us to establish symm
etry properties of polarization observables relative to the transforma
tion cos theta --> -cos theta. Special attention is devoted to theta =
90 degrees, where isospin invariance simplifies in particular spin st
ructures of matrix elements.
