Abstract
The (V-I) characteristics of silver sheathed (Bi-Pb)-2 2 2 3 multifila mentary tape have been investigated at different temperatures and at d ifferent magnetic fields applied both parallel and perpendicular to th e c-axis of the tape. Correction of the measured data due to the prese nce of the silver sheath, yield linear In V-ln I-s plots and this is c onsistent with the thermally activated flux creep model. Temperature a nd held dependence of the creep activation energy have been derived fr om the observed power law characteristics. Analysis of our data indica te a small negative curvature in In V-ln I-s plots close to T-p. But t his observation does not appear to support the vortex glass descriptio n.
